Welcome To Yarnell Legion Post 79

Commander’s Column

As the Commander of American Legion Post 79 in Yarnell, I would like to invite everyone to stop by the Post. Well this time of year always reminds me of a song by Jerry Keller “Here Comes Summer”. The Parker pig roast was a great success, a good time was had by all.

We have a very busy May coming up with all of our special events which will be listed below.

Again I would like to thank all the volunteers. Our volunteers not only make my job easier, but it makes our post stronger. So thank you again to all of our volunteers your help is greatly appreciated. Rena’s last day was April 21, I would like to personally thank her for all her hard work while she was here and we all wish her the very best in her new endeavors.
The cooperation between all of our entities is beginning to show. The Ladies Auxiliary is working on a float for the Parade. The entire Post will be helping in any way we can.

Our events start with our May 4 Tribute Patio Party for International Firefighters Day. Then comes Yarnell days, Patio Party at the Post. Then Memorial Day Monday we will hold our ceremony at the cemetery followed by a Patio Party at the Post. “These events are all Open to the Public”.
