A.L.R. February 2010

Thanks to Chuck for appointing me as your new Run Coordinator. Chaz did a great job, and I hope to have rides as good as Chaz set up.

A couple of things: First, I’m going to try to set up at least one ride a month, to be decided at the ALR meeting each month. Some months we’ll do a weekday ride; other months we’ll do a weekend ride. Hopefully that will give everyone a chance to do a ride regardless of your work schedule (for those of you who work).

Also, when the weather warms up a bit, we will start riding to other Posts which have ALR Chapters and participate in their breakfasts, lunches or bike nights. The more we go to their events the more they will come to ours.

For PGR missions (which can be as many as 3 or 4 in a week), I will send out e-mails to all of our members if I plan on going to the mission. Rather than waiting at Mountainaire and have no-one show up, I will be asking you to call me if you plan on going on that mission, and we can figure out a time and place to meet. SO IT IS IMPORTANT THAT I HAVE YOUR E-MAIL. IF YOU DIDN’T RECEIVE AN E-MAIL FROM ME ABOUT OUR JAN. 21 ALR LUNCH RIDE TO GLENDALE, PLEASE SEND ME YOUR E-MAIL SO I CAN GET YOU ON THE CHAPTER MASTER LIST.

Finally, if any of you decide to put together any last-minute rides, please let me know so I can get out an e-mail to the entire Chapter. Just depending upon word-of-mouth at the Post leaves a lot of members out.

NOTE: In May we’ll be doing our annual Poker Run (Scrabble Run). We decided at our meeting to have a silent auction – so if you have anything you can donate (leathers, motorcycle equipment, etc – which must be in excellent shape, if not new), or can get any businesses to donate anything, please get those items to Chuck or Julie. LET’S MAKE 2010 A GREAT RIDING YEAR.

For God and Country,

Ride Coordinator
