"Where The Warm Desert Breeze Meets The Cool Mountain Air"

A.L.R. June 2010

We always decide on our monthly ride at our monthly meeting on the FIRST WEDNESDAY of each month at 6:00 PM! Please try to make these meetings so you can have input on where we go.

I’ve been on my annual motorcycle cross-country adventure and still am at this writing, so you haven’t been receiving too many emails from me about rides, but that doesn’t mean you guys can’t decide to go on a ride. Get hold of your brothers and sisters and hit the road!

Don’t forget, if you want to find out what is going on at other ALR chapters in the state, go to our state wevsite usalr.org/AZALR.

There is also a run/event calendar we have posted on the Bulletin Board at the post for the month. It is posted after each monthly meeting.

There are at least 3 runs or specil events in June at ALR Chapters in the state and ongoing events happening every week. If you want other ALR Chapters to support our poker runs and fundraisers it is important that we also attend their runs and support them. Aren’t “riders” supposed to “ride”?

Don’t forget upcoming important events:

June 11-12: AZALR Campout in Tombstone. More information is available on the AZALR calendar. Registration forms are available from me, which also has info on hotels and camping.

June 18: The Department Convention and the annual AZALR meeting and election of new District Reps.

October 2: Northern Arizona VA BBQ.

One final note: Most of our money, which we need to donate to charitable causes, the VA BBQ, our local Christmas program for kids, etc., is raised at the 3 or 4 Friday night meals we do on the 5th Friday of the month. We need ALR Volunteers to help out with these events! If we don’t have the manpower, like cooking at Friday night dinners, then we have to pay someone who’s not an ALR member to do it. This cuts inot our funds and reduces available funding for our charitable causes. SO PLEASE VOLUNTEER TO HELP OUT WITH ALR EVENTS!

For God and Country,

John Moffit, Run Coordinator
