"Where The Warm Desert Breeze Meets The Cool Mountain Air"

A.L.R. May 2010

We ALWAYS decide on our monthly ride at our monthly meeting; the First Wednesday of the month at 6 P.M. PLEASE try to make these meetings so you can have input on where we go!

I will continue to send emails to you all of PGR missions and any other last minute rides I plan to go on if you’d like to join me for the ride.

Don’t forget, if you want to find out what is going on at other ALR Chapters in the state go to our state website: usalr.org/AZALR.

There is a Run/Event Calendar we keep posted on the bulletin board at the post for each month. a fresh calendar is posted after each ALR meeting.

There are at least 6 runs/special events in May at ALR chapters in Arizona. If you want other ALR chapters to support our Poker Runs and fund raisers it is import that we also attend their runs and support them. Aren’t “riders” supposed to “ride”?

Given past experiences, we had a good turnout for the ALR (Glendale) Legacy Run; 5 riders from ALR 79. WAY TO GO!

Reminder: We need items to auction at our annual Poker Run in May. If you can donate something which you think bikers might bid on at a silent auction, please get them down to the Post to Check’s attention.
Anything in good shape which someone might pay for and bid on at silent auction… and, it does not necessarily have to be motorcycle related, though used leathers in good shape will bring in money.

Don’t forget upcoming Important Events:

May 1: ALR will be riding with the Legion Family in the Yarnell daze Parade followed by a Patio Party at the Post.

May 22: ALR Scrabble Run

June 11-13: AZALR Campout in Tombstone. More info is available on the AZALR calendar. Registration forms are available from me, including info on hotels and camping.

June 18: The Department Convention and the annual AZALR meeting and election of new District Reps.

October 2: Northern Arizona VA BBQ.

IMPORTANT: If you can help out with the May 1st Patio Party or the Scrabble Run, please let Chuck know as soon as possible. Thanks.

For God and country,
