We always decide on our monthly ride at our monthly meeting on the FIRST WEDNESDAY of each month at 6:00 PM! Please try to make these meetings so you can have input on where we go.

Since the Legion no longer serves a meal on Wednesdays, at our next meeting on September 1st we will be serving Lasagna and Garlic Bread for only $5.00 so come to the September meeting early and bring your appetite!

I will continue to send out emails to you all of PGR missions and any other last minute rides I plan on going to if you want to join me.

Don’t forget, if you want to find out what is going on at other ALR chapters in the state, go to our state website usalr.org/AZALR.html

ADS for the GET TO KNOW YOUR POSTS PROGRAM… This is a way for businesses to get exposure to hundreds, if not thousands, of Legion family members throughout the state and an opportunity for our Chapter to make some money. Ads must be sold by the end of September and the contest starts November 1, so if you are interested in selling some ads and making some money for our Chapter please see John Moffitt.

Our September ALR 79 RIDE will be a Moonlight Ride on September 23rd. We will leave Post 79 at 6:00 PM and ride to Screamers Drive-In in Wickenburg for dinner. There will be a full moon that night so it should be a pretty ride.

Important Upcoming Events:

September 23rd: Moonlight Ride

September 25th: ALR Fall Poker Run

October 2nd: Northern Arizona VA BBQ

October 29th is the fifth Friday in October and is an ALR Friday night dinner. We will be doing a special contest/fundraiser: the Queen of Kings. Myself, Julie or one of the officers can explain this to you in more detail, but, we do need ALR MEMBERS TO VOLUNTEER for this evening; both for the kitchen, prep (male and female) as well as in the Queen of Kings contest (male members only). It will be a lot of fun and should raise some much needed revenue. A sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board at the Post.

For God and Country,

John Moffitt, ALR Assistant Director
