Ladies Auxiliary November 2016

The holidays are upon us and we have a lot of events coming up. As always, the Auxiliary is looking for volunteers to help in any way possible. Whether it be in the kitchen, help with special events or donations. If you can be of service, please don’t hesitate to contact Wendy Edge, Connie Taylor or Sally Rappolt at the Legion.

Come join us on Friday, November 11th to celebrate Veterans Day. The Ceremony will be held at the cemetery and we will gather at the Legion afterwards.

Feather Bingo will be held on meeting day, Saturday, November 19th at 1:00 p.m. Come join the fun and festivities. Lots of turkey’s and hams for prizes to the lucky winners!

As always, the American Legion will be cooking Thanksgiving dinner for the entire community, free of charge on Thursday, November 24th. Helping hands are needed to help cook turkeys and hams, serve the dinners and assist in delivering meals to those that are homebound. A signup sheet is posted in the Legion. Your assistance is not only needed, but is welcome with sincere gratitude. Please let us know as soon as possible if you can help.

If you can donate a turkey or a ham to get us through Thanksgiving and Feather Bingo, please drop it off at the Legion. We have the entire community to serve on Thanksgiving and lots of hams and turkeys are needed to make it happen. You can also give a monetary donation for the event. Just make your check out to ALA – Unit 79 and mail it in or drop it off at the Legion. No donation is too small. Be sure to note that the funds are to go for Turkeys and Hams.

The Craft Sale is on December 3rd and starts at 9 a.m. Tables are going fast so get your table reserved as soon as possible if you would like to sell your homemade goods. Show off your talent and join the camaraderie! We will be serving Indian Fry Bread by hand made by our own Kathy Holle! The best in the West!

On Sunday, December 4th Buddy will sing for us.
